GTO Revival is a special drama that marks the return of the legendary series GTO, starring Takashi Sorimachi, after a hiatus of 26 years. This new installment was broadcast in celebration of Kansai TV and Fuji TV’s 65th anniversary .
Quite painful to watch. Even by low-budget TV drama standards this is shockingly bad. Easily could have been filmed in a single afternoon. The acting is atrocious. Every single line of dialogue appears awkward and forced. The actors look so out of place it's laughable. I can't imagine even the most hardcore fans of the series enjoying this.
