In the midst of an international crisis, a career diplomat lands in a high-profile job she’s unsuited for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future.
This show was okay, just good enough to keep us watching it but not good enough to tempt us to binge watch it. Certainly not as captivating the the Netflix 8-part series this year if the exact same name.
There was some good chemistry between the major characters which helped, and it was interesting to have a mix of ongoing problems and ones that got resolved in one episode.
But working against itself was the fact that we have intelligent female characters making stupid decisions around men. Perhaps it is a sign of gender equality, as these lousy decisions of who to sleep with, etc, are the sort usually performed by men in programs like this.
