Do not pass up this show!! However, you should know going into it that it is a slow-burn, slice of life story about friendship and the growth and change that comes along in life. This isn't your usual trope heavy BL series - and it benefits from it. I am so glad we are getting more diverse LGBT stories in the 2022 BL season. The first couple of episodes may have been a bit odd in their pacing and set-up but the long term trajectory of the plot was perfect. The cinematography, and soundtrack were also just fantastic. The music in this show really added to the atmosphere - and I loved the styling of the wardrobe and set design. Lots of consistent symbolism and themes. I was also really impressed with the acting, even if there was some shaky, over-acted moments (few and far in-between). I particularly think that Hui-Min (Erek) Lin and Yun Xin (Tannie) Huang were excellent - especially in their incredibly well handled scenes together. Erek Lin may be one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen??? I really loved this show - and have already re-watched specific scenes over and over again.

This is not a typical BL series, because it lacks all the tropes that have become lame over the years. The characters are ordinary young people, not rich families' sons and daughters who drive around in Mercedes or BMW cars like in many Thai BL series. It's rather an LGBTQ+ series about the reunification of childhood friends who lost contact, but little Wen, who disappeared 10 years before as a girl, comes back from abroad unrecognised by her childhood playmates as Amber, a boy. The mystery unfolds very slowly, step by step for the protagonists as well as for the viewers. It is a beautiful, sensitive series, with an amazing cast, especially Erek Lin (who played the role of a bullied student in the fantastic BL movie "Your Name Engraved Herein") as Amber, and a beautiful OST (”Butterfly” by Polin). I rewatched the series several times, and I found it interesting that there are a lot of things that went unnoticed at the first watching, e.g. the meaning of butterflies that symbolise Wen-Wen's metamorphosis to Amber.
